Media

We live in a culture propelled by words. Whether spoken, texted, or emailed, we communicate continually. Social Media posts, YouTube videos, Podcasts, Substack, and Vlogs are a part of our daily intake. We often like words short, memorable, and spirited. But ironically, there’s hardly any expectation that words have to be honest or accurate. Definitions of words are as different and nuanced as the communicator themselves. So how does that impact our message as a Christ-follower, especially in a culture where “spirituality” sounds good, but is usually self-focused? Join Pastor Matt for his new teaching series and discover that it’s More Than Just Words. 1:20:02

Jesus Is With Us Even When Things Are Tough

June 22, 2025 10:05 pm

It’s easy to feel that God couldn’t or wouldn’t love people like us because of our mistake-filled past, or the many times we attempted to get our act together and then didn’t. Most of us walk a road chock-full of the potholes of our own broken promises, unkept commitments and a nagging sense of guilt and shame.

And even if we were invited in, we would refuse because we think we’re not the person God would want. But what if those very things were what God is looking for in the resume of the people he loves? Join Pastor Matt for this three-part message series, “People Like Us” and discover your place in His story. 40:36

The Prequel

June 1, 2025 10:10 pm

When it comes to the heart, we can “Break someone’s heart,” and then “Cross our heart and hope to die.” We can brag and tell someone to “Eat your heart out,” or encourage a friend to “Follow their heart.” When giving gifts, we say it’s “From the bottom of our heart.” But we refer to stingy people as having a “Heart of stone.” We think that a person who is sincere “Has their heart in the right place” and when we are determined, others might say of us, “We have our heart set on something.”

One thing is certain, when we talk about the heart it’s not just the beating organ in our chest: it’s really about our emotional and spiritual health. So, join Pastor Matt for a heart check-up in his new teaching series, The Heart of the Matter. 42:48
