It’s easy to feel that God couldn’t or wouldn’t love people like us because of our mistake-filled past, or the many times we attempted to get our act together and then didn’t. Most of us walk a road chock-full of the potholes of our own broken promises, unkept commitments and a nagging sense of guilt and shame.
